(STEM) Deepening Science Concept and Content Knowledge: Teaching Evolution in the HSE Classroom
A high emphasis science topic for TASC Instruction is how biological evolution is supported by multiple lines of empirical evidence. During this workshop, we will discuss some of the general misconceptions about evolution and how they may be effectively addressed in the classroom. Participants will gain a firm understanding of the mechanisms of evolution and its role in developing our planet’s rich biodiversity and will develop a structure for engaging students in critical thinking about evolution. Participants will leave the session with tools and resources to enrich their lessons.
